About SturdyPaws

Who we are and how we research senior dog mobility products.

SturdyPaws publishes practical buying guides for people caring for older dogs and dogs with mobility problems: arthritis, hip dysplasia, IVDD, weak back legs, and recovery after orthopedic surgery such as TPLO.

How we research

  • We read manufacturer specification pages and retailer listings to confirm dimensions, weight limits and approximate prices.
  • We base health-related statements on published veterinary sources (veterinary hospitals, specialty surgery centers and veterinary associations) and link to them.
  • We read owner discussions to learn which real-world problems matter, such as cargo height, narrow passenger doors or slippery floors.
  • Unless an article clearly says otherwise, we have not personally tested the products. We do not invent test results or reviews.

Not veterinary advice

Nothing on this site replaces an exam by your veterinarian. Mobility changes can signal pain or neurological disease that needs diagnosis and treatment.
